snakebite, i can dream those wrecks by now, spending all that time there. Maybe im unlucky this playthrough and did the last part spawn wrongly. Who knows..
As far as I know all you really need is the physics cannon and the fire extinguisher. It just takes longer because you have to circle back around.
You do need it to explore some of the other wreckage fully. So you definitely want to have it. Shouldn't be that hard to find, the areas with red grass is a good place to find the fragments. Check inside open boxes, that's where most of the smaller tool fragments are found, that and inside wrecks.
If you go in through the bottom entrance you'll hit a door on the other side of the lab that needs to be cut through. No way around that.
if you go in through the top entrance you'll get stuck at the lockerroom door which again needs to be cut through.
The sealed off section between these 2 areas is where the Prawn bay and the crew quarters are
I got lucky and found the Seamoth Fragments and Mobile Vehicle Bay pretty easily so I was able to get Lithium and Diamonds early on.
I'm at the endgame and still haven't found the nuclear reactor fragments though. Luckily I built near to the thermal jet and had thermal generators and power transmitters so I never needed it and didn't have to bother with the bio-generator either.
Yeah, console is your friend.
In my current playthrough I already systematicly combed out the grassy plains (the red grass areas). Wouldnt it just be possible that the part im looking for by small-chance-accident spawned in an unaccessible place, i wonder.
Like city-builder says: 'Found the laser cutter inside a room *that I need a laser cutter to enter*'
So how did you get in there, City Builder? :-)
Can't find a vehicle modification fragment for the life of me though. Are they just through databoxes now??
Make sure you are checking inside the wrecks in the grassy plateau. There are plenty of them around. In most of my current playthroughs the laser cutter is far more common inside the wrecks then strewn throughout the sea floor.
All items do not spawn in the same area in every game. I created three new games and traveled to the same wrecks in the red kelp area and all three had items but not the same items and in some cases they shared some of the same items but one game had two of the same items where another game had only one and another had none of the similar items either of the other saved games had. I started to wonder after watching multiple videos on where to find the battery charger parts and the different videos showed people locating and scanning the battery parts in different location same was for power cell parts where three different people showed the power cell charger in different locations. I traveled to all three and didn't find them there or only found 1 pcs of 2.
So for many people like myself that some times have to refer to youtube videos when having issues doing something in a game or in this case finding items I have come to the conculsion in this game items and or parts do not always spawn in the same area or may spawn in different quanities and be in two different locations or may not even be in the spot where indicated in some one's video, it all seems random after watching multiple videos where people record finding items in totally different places and me creating three different games and actually going out and searching the same areas and wrecks and actually seeing the difference.
So the message is if you are watching videos like i was on where to find parts and or key items in the game don't be surprised to travel there and not find what your looking for. You will find something but it might not be the item you saw in the video. I am thinking it could spawn in those areas but each item might be set up to spawn in any multiple designated areas per programming, it seems totally random. I like this it makes the game more challeging and if you went to play again and create a new game and thought you knew where everything was it would have changed.
It was very fustrating traveling to areas designated in a video to find parts i needed to spend lots of time and energy to come up empty handed, I understand now and i am ok with this.
The last part was in the back of a wreck under a pile of furniture i should have cleared earlier sweeps with the propcannon ;-]
I loved the visit to the captains quarters. Now im ready for the Grand Finale!
Yes Snake, blueprints spawn randomly, but always somewhere in the same biomes. Just like minerals and animals. I can imagine your frustration :-)
