Why I cant build a ladder here?

I have a bioractor at the middle, and made a extra room on top, but for some reason I cannot build a ladder to it!
Also, how can I deconstruct the Bioreactor?

I'm assuming you're on the bottom floor trying to build a ladder to the top, and nothing has been placed in the top?

Also you should be able to face the reactor with the habitat builder in hand and hold "Q" to dismantle

Edit: If the above question is answered with "Yes" Perhaps the powercell charger hitbox is extending over into where the ladder bounding box is..Try dismantling it temporarily to see if it works

only thing i can think of for the ladder is either there is something in the room above in that location or they have bioractors block off a larger area than they actually are. honestly can't remember if any other large items for the base do this.

to deconstruct it should be Q like for any deconstruction. but it might have to be empty, never tried to do it

You can build a ladder there, in terms of possibility, which probably means that either you have started construction on something else in the module and not finished it yet, or there is something I can't see blocking it. My guess would be the first, any windows placed and not built for example?

On mine I just hold the construction tool and hold 'R' to deconstruct, guessing your keybind will show up on screen whilst holding it.
