power transmitters not tranmitting
so i built a thermal generator in the grand reef and built a line of transmitters back to my base. Unfortunately, they don't seem to want to transmit the power. I did make sure they were all under 100 meters apart and have no obstructions
Anybody have any suggestions? Is this a bug? Help is greatly appreciated

Does your base have a foundation anywhere?

no, my base doesnt have any foundations, do i need to add one?

You don't need a foundation to transmit power.

@OP: The very first transmitters can be incredibly finicky. My advice is to start with the first transmitter. Deconstruct it and then move it around until you see the power line pop up. Once you got that, it should make it easier to line the rest up.

ok so just to test i put a transmitter a few meters away from the generator, and no connection line appears. I thought it should, or is it only once there is a complete connection?

It shows between each transmitter but as sterling says it has to have it From the generator to the first one or it wont work

I'm not sure. Power transmitters have always been a bit of an oddity in their behaviour for me. I built a base in the Lost River (which is sitting on one foundation), and as soon as I constructed the power transmitter within range of the thermal power plants I'd placed nearby, it 'found' my base and linked up to it just fine. Another base I buiilt at the safe shallows began transmitting to a foundation as soon as I built a power transmitter, but only the solar panels seemed to be hooked up to it and not the bioreactors.

I'll try removing the foundation in the Lost River base and see what happens.

I've done my tests, and foundations are indeed not required for power transmission. This is the setup I've got for a small outpost in the Lost River to extend my range of exploration:
