cant figure out how to use Thermal plant and Power transmitter
so i'm in the lost river junction where i want to make a new base and use the nearby heat souce for power production.. but i cant figure out how to get power going from the plants to my base foundation.

i tried using power transmitters (even have them sitting on a foundation), but only one transmitter seems to link to both plants, but then nothing happens from there. i've tried lining up multiple transmitters close together but this isn't really doing anything..

what am i doing wrong?

First, put one transmitter near the thermal plants so they all connect to the transmitter. Then when you start to make another transmitter, it should attach to the first one. Then, you start to swim toward your base. If it is close enough you will see a connection made automatically to the base and you can place the transmitter down near where you are to complete installation. If not, find the maximum distance the transmitter will go until the power line disappears, then back up a bit and place it there. Then build another transmitter, and another, until it connects to your base.

Also, don't put down any foundations that aren't directly touching your base, because they will be counted as separate seabases for the purposes of energy distribution.

that's what i assumed would happen, but i'm only seeing the connection line from the 2 thermal plants to the first transmitter.
no matter where i put the 2nd transmitter, there's no blue line to indicate a connection

Move the first transmitter further away from the plant and try again?

Hmmm, getting the angle can be tricky. What about before you build the second transmitter, while it is still in your hand? The line is not grabbing the first transmitter at any angle? Swim all around it.

Nada. No line to the 2nd transmitter anywhere.

Ill try placing the plants elsewhere and see if that makes any difference

Also, sometimes you have to put the second one above because you have to clear some obstacles, then you can start building transmitters in a sideways direction toward your base.

Yeah, try kwong’s suggestion, too.

got it.. that was wierd... removed everything, tried again in the exact same spots. it works now..

new development.. now the connection line from the transmitter and the base is WAY in the other direction... for some reason it's pointing to the lifepod some 800m up.

i still have power, so i'm not gonna screw with it much
