Where and how to find the Water Filtration fragments?

So since my base is so far away from the lifepod i was getting sick of going back and forth trying to get filtered water.And plus it will save energy for my Seamoth and my Cyclops and time.

There are no fragments, you have to find the actual unit installed in one of the Degasi bases and scan it.

Others have answered your question so I wont repeat it but I was struck by your comment of going back and forth between your base and your lifepod for water...

Not sure why you would be doing that since you can build another fabricator in your base and use that instead of the one in the lifepod.

Jelly Shroom Biome can be found just SW of the crash site. There's a base in there. It's near the weak thermal vent (South of it, from memory). At some point it gets marked as a point of interest from listening to radio messages, I think.

Degasi bases are bases which other human survivors had built, they look like the base you can build, only abandoned. And not it's not a base under an island, it's in the jelly shroom cave, which is in the centre below the safe shallows and creepvine areas and has a few entrance points.

The Degassi base in question is the one in the Jellyshroom caverns. Entrance to that is near the lifepod 17 beacon. You get that message pretty early from Ozzy in the cafeteria

Reppoc i was going back to the lifepod to get the materials aka the coral. Theres alot of salt deposits near my base . You may ask why dont you just collect ALOT of coral? Well im not ganna fill up a locker of coral

Lol, I see now. That makes perfect sense

Just a heads up though, if you haven't used the water filtration machine before its a bit of a power hog. You may need to beef up your power generation if you also plan on doing a lot of crafting at your base.

So make a large aquarium and .... easy water.

SPOILERS:Yea im at the part when the sunbeam gets blown up so when i get the transmission about life pod 17 ill try to find the jelly cave. Do you know what direction it might be in when i get to lifepod 17?

DOWN.

Look for a tunnel / cave system downwards. It's the first time the game introduces you to the Z axis properly.

Will the cyclops fit through the hole? I mean i could use my seamoth i have the depth upgrade 1 but judging how deep it might be the creatures might not be so nice so i wanna go with something with more hull
