Possible to grow gel sack?

I have planted a gel sack in my exterior growbed but it does not seem to work. Any ideas?

Yes you can grow them. Instead of picking up the gel sack, cut it with your knife and get the seeds. Plant them and in few minutes you have new gel sacks. Repeat the process until your exterior planterbed is full.

I don't see why not. You should be able to cut it in the growbed. Cut it and find out lol.

There's a "trick" (i.e. exploit) that will allow you to plant an entire growbed of gel sacks from just a single one.

Construct an exterior growbed as normal, and plant the gel sack. You can slack the gel sack twice with the knife to get gel sack seeds. Normally, a third slash will destroy the gel sack (while also producing a seed). Instead of slashing it a third time, pick up that gel sack, then replant it from your inventory. This somehow repairs it and will allow you to slash it twice more when replanted for two more seeds.

Rinse and repeat and you'll have an entire growbed of gel sacks planted in a minute of so from a single gel sack.

op, I futzed around for a while thinking the gel sack wasn't growable. I did figure it out and also got the lesson - cut every plant you might want to reproduce to see if it works
