That gets you the box where you type, then you want;

Which should spawn you an egg I believe.

You don't have to put a "1" after "item cutefishegg". You'll get one of them with that spawn command. There are eggs out in the world to find though. Here are some F1 map coordinates for those that have been found so far: -627 501 948, -1114 -685 -671, -862 -150 577, 723 186 586 and -150 415 499.

If you're referring to how to hatch one of the eggs you can find, you put it inside an alien containment unit, wait a few days, and then it'll hatch.

Or you can use "fasthatch" in the console.

But it will most likely disable achievements for you, so beware.

To be honest, if you're going to do this, you're better off doing it in a creative world with cheats on that way if you are done playing in your creative world you can just leave turn cheats off and go back to playing normal subnautica.
