Shiny Peeper?

Any idea why this guy has a trail of stars? I have never seen one like it before.

That peeper is carrying the cure of the infection, so peepers that do that have a really pretty trail.

I caught the peeper but it showed up as any normal peeper in the inventory?

Don't forget to scan the shiny peepers when you see one. you get a new data entry for them

Also, if you have an alien containment center, they will purify the fish within it and keep them from getting the contagion.

we call them golden peepers

Build an alien containment. Fill full of creatures and deliberately infect them (stick an infected little fish in there).
Scan one of them when they are all glowing green.

Then stick a golden peeper in there (the one that leaves the trail behind it).
Scan the creatures again when they stop being green.
