Cave Sulfur?

im not sure why im missing this but i can find out where the cave sulfur is. i read some discussions on here and watched a video on you tube.

i must be old and blind! i cant seem to find them. people are also saying to use the seaglide. but when i go to see what i neex to make that it says materials unknown. so i cant seem to make one of those either.

i understand that a fish will attack me but not sure what im doing wrong here!

When the Crash fish leaves his little pod, you need to go up to the pod to get the sulfur. The Crash fish are usually in the caves in the safe shallows biome

i have been looking in that area and i dont see anything there. that biome is right around the crash site correct?

cause ive looked all over and dont seem to see them

The Safe Shallows is the spawn biome. If you go into the cave system near the creepvines and grassy plateau, they spawn in there quite a bit

EDIT: Since I can't post a link by time, he leaves his lifepod at the 19:30 mark and finds some crash fish at the 20:00 mark

Yes, There's lots of small caves around. Just be careful. There are sometimes more than one off to the side you don't notice when going to pickup that sulfur. You'll hear them pop out though and then run! :)

i have played this for 3 hours. minus about an hour cause i had it paused! i still cant find cave sulfur.

i would like to put my name as the most dumbest player. lol.

trust me it takes a LONG time to git gud with this game hell i have 200+ hours and been playing for 2+ years ever since glass was made from diged up sand LOL "ah memories of subnautica early acess" you will get used to it you can add me and i can give you some general tips if you want but it will take a while for you to learn the in and out of the game but really im surprised you have not found sulfur its like so easy to find i guess i have been playing so long i forgot what its like to be a new player

Just keep searching, eventually after going through enough caves, something will explode near you then you need only look for it's flower (looks like a red flower with a yellow center). Just be careful, as there may be 2 of them around the same area and depending on how close to you they are when exploding, 2 of them could kill you if you already have some damage on your health meter.

They will come towards you, when they do that try to move back away from them to minimize the damage when they explode.

if you ever see something on a cave wall open up like the eggs of Alien and a fish come out after you which explodes.. the sulfur is inside the "egg".

Sulfur is not always in the pod, so try multiple until you get what you need.

yes, also, the sulfur CAN respawn if you don't destroy the pods, but it takes a while.

ok, thanks for thye help everyone. i did happen to come across an area with the pods. its deep and its goin g to be a close call to get in there, get it and get out to the water. but after getting killed when the fish came at me at least i know where it is. i think i have to run a air line down there maybe to get air and then get in, get out!

ill give it a shot tonight

In the safe shallows they should generally be 20ish meters down
