Are the Sea Emperor Leviathan's telepathy thingys triggered by action or time?

I just had one in the deep sparse reef, and I want to know whether it's by action or time.

There is only one in the entire game, and it is not located in a reef. Maybe you are talking about something else?

Not the Sea Emperor Leviathan itself, but when she talks to you through telepathy.

Their triggered by a mix of location and time. Once you pass though one of a few (two if I remember right) areas, a set time later you get one of her messages.

i got my first msg when was thermal plant for blue card so nearby endgame if ya exclude the rocket building.
