We would have to manage cultivating enough food for the herbivores, finding a way to sustain and preserve the predators while also keeping them in check, and even doing microbiology with parasites and monitoring any new mutations or changes. How does that idea sound?
Tending to your Kelp Forest to give the growing Stalker population a habitat, when you get a PDA alert of containment breach, and one of the Reapers is out and heading towards the Gasopod pen! Oh noez batman. We'd be in a caretaker kind of role.
Shootin in the dark, what do you think?
They could also barter and sell the "rights" to the planet. Maybe negotiate with the precursors. Leverage. Who knows =)
There's always the "But there's this one person that did things for evil" trope to fall back on.
Global warming, environmental pollution, plastic islands in the ocean and one of my favorites: Areas contaminated by radiation.
Humans are retarded, mindless sheeps.
Luckily you are just an individual but on the contrary, so am I.
While I see our species running towards extinction, you are the luckier one.
As you don't see it, even though it still will happen as humankind simply is as described above.
Yet we should create more areas with radiation.
As the nature in Chernobyl seems to be recovering pretty well, without people being around.

Who knows?
Nuclear holocaust may kill as all in the future, but it could heal the planet as we won't be there anymore.
I agree, it would be good for the Earth to get rid of mankind. But I'd prefer a way that won't destroy a lot of animals as well.
Well the explosions would be bad for sure.
But the radiation itself seems just to be something we are scared off.
It surely is dangerous and lethal. Dying as of radioactive contamination is horrible.
Still the animals seem to thrive in the zone.
Here is one longer vid:

Scientists are still wondering about the animals having almost no signs of mutation and other bad signs of negative impacts of radiation.
Especially mice are running on the ground and eat stuff that's contaminated, so they are getting radioactive particles into their system on a daily basis. oO
Bah... Humans are weak. Would you, if you get into an ambush of 4 Lions, try to fight them or run away?
While sane human beings will choose the latter, Mongoose go for a good fight. ^^
What about venomous snakes? They can kill us with one bite.
Mongoose don't give a damn, as they are pretty resistant against any sort of snake venom. ^^

Badass creatures these are!
In addition:
My apologies for being OT.
It's just that I don't think humans are the strongest creatures.
We surely have our intelect that helps us out on various occasions.
Human VS Lion mostly goes for the wild animal.
Gun VS Lion is a different thing. But a tool is made by intellect not by strength. ;)
This game also makes a good show out of it.
Ryley is nothing without all the tools he makes.
And he is either nothing with them, as of having a trillion credits of dept because of the tools he made. XD
I love how this game also parodies capitalism. Surviving will kill you financially. oO
