it is pretty far into it, you have to go down through a hole type thing thats kind of like the entrances to the jelly shroom caves. Hard to find for sure.

There is a way you can navigate to it (without outright warping) using the F1 menu but some people might consider that cheating

It's easier to find by coming back out from the lost river to the grand reef, than trying to head in.
Also use the Sonar on the Seamoth to help, it lets you see holes easier.

That is a very good point. If you go to lost river from blood kelp and come out to grand reef from the root zone thing, as soon as you are back in grand reef the seabase is in that area on a plateau type thing. It is totally possible to find the other way, as i have found it twice now that way but took me a while both times lol

there has been a bug in this update where wrecks and seabases havent been spawning. you have to go to the location in question and either save and reload, or open the F1 menu, then click F8 so you can click in those menus. Click on the clip mapping tab and then "rebuild all" that will fix it. Also entering "entreset" in the console should fix it as well.

I stumbled across it by accident.

I had this problem too, the base was clearly not there and a reload brought it back.

I've been there a bunch of times and each time it was a pain for me to find. You almost have to be right on top of it to see. The warpers and crabsquid things are my indication that it's nearby. I haven't found that PDA log yet though. Every now and then I go back to look at it. If you're taking the seamoth and using sonar as I did a few times, be careful. I got to watch mine get torn apart in a vicious attack. I was near the base with no idea where my cyclops was and no more air. That was a quit, reload, and try again.

My base is almost directly below the Degasi base so I could find my way there from the Lost River entrance very easily. Basically you go through the Lost River entrance until you run across a pillar of rock. Go around it and keep going straight, all the while ascending and you will see the base, but you will need your Seamoth's lights on and Crabsquids hate light so you'll want to be careful about where you get out of your Seamoth. The Degasi base is on another pillar of rock and it is near the top of the cave ceiling.

Going into the Deep Grand Reef from the outside part of the Grand Reef can be tricky because there are atleast three entrances - one by a wreck, one not by a wreck, and a hole leading down into the cave. The only way to tell whether you are heading in is to watch the change in background color from a dark deep blue to a lighter turquoise color.
