Can I deconstruct the fabricator?

I get everything needed to make something when I deconstruct it, right? So I can deconstruct my life pods fabricator and communications relay and then remake them in my base?

No. I don't think you can deconstruct anything in the life pod.

No I think the game allows deconstructing them.
But if you lose some stuff you are on your own.

No. The equipment in the lifepod is special and is permanent so that no matter how bad things get you can always start over at the lifepod. To illustrate what I mean, imagine that yes, you deconstructed the lifepod fabricator, built a base at 400 meters, then somehow died and respawned in the lifepod. With no fabricator, if you have no vehicle that you can get to that is capable of getting that deep you're completely screwed because with no way back to your base you can't get to the equipment there and with no fabricator in the lifepod you can't make a way to get you back to your base, or anything else.

I made an indoor planter box and put a marblemelon in it. No more marble melons have grown. How do I grow more food?

Marblemelons I've not been able to grow, but from what I've seen so far, you need to get samples of plants that have a seed icon on it, i.e. the bulbo tree and chinese potato. Bulbo tree samples give +10 water and chinese potatoes give +15 hunger, so they're the best that I've seen, and you can plant both types again instead of eating them!

This. Plant the seeds, not the melon.
