Cyclops stuck, is there a way to free it?
So my base is in the Safe Shallows, not super far from my lifepod, and I had the mobile vehicle bay set up in that area too. I just spent several hours farming all the materials for the Cyclops, got it built, and was mostly just bumping into things a little trying to get it closer to my base so I can work on moving house. But then it got hung up on a bit of land that I should really be able to just reverse away from, and now it's totally stuck, won't move even an inch in any direction. I've tried ramming it with my Seamoth, I've tried saving and quitting, I've tried clearing the game cache (mostly to try and get rid of the lagging and crashing), and nothing. What are my options, besides building a new one (I guess)?

Try to move the cyclops with the Prawn Suit.

I can't make the Prawn Suit yet. :(

Okay lmao, I tried sticking some floaters on it and that did the trick, but jeez. Live and learn, I guess.

If the terraformer is not yet removed from the game it could help.
No previous save game? Would be much easier than to find the parts without using the ship..

Once a time.. I build my first cyclops.. and there was an island behind those floating builder..
Ever seen a cyclops falling onto land?!!!

[edit]
Floaters? REALLY? LOL great idea ;)

The floaters have disappeared on their own now, which I don't think is how it's supposed to work, and there's a rhythmic banging on the side of the Cyclops and I have no idea what's causing it. And yeah, I didn't have a save from before I made it, so.

Edit: And I put some big lockers on the Cyclops so I can move house more easily, but when I open them the interface is invisible? I can mouse around and see the tooltips for items, but there's nothing in front of me.

I experienced that inventory problem before too, restarting the game or reloading the save worked for me. Sometimes it'd randomly start working again after a while too. The banging is probably a floater still stuck on. I originally did what you did first time I made a Cyclops. Take it down a hundred metres or so and see if it drifts up at all. First time round I had a floater stuck in a spot I couldn't reach and it drove me so crazy I made a new world.

Seriously. It usually takes me about ten flushes to get rid of one of the buggers.

The banging was actually me being a dumbass; I'd parked the Cyclops right over one of the corals that makes air bubbles. The banging was the bubbles hitting. But yeah, the floaters seem to have totally vanished on their own. Also, the inventory bug seems to come from having the habitat builder in hand while opening any locker on the Cyclops, whether it's the built-in ones or otherwise.

Well that's interesting, wish I knew how you'd gotten rid of those floaters! Would have been really useful back when it happened to me haha.

getting rid of floaters just swim upto them and pluck them off the hull and stash them for later use. like sticking to unruly agro large fish.

Right, but his just disappeared. I'm saying I wish I knew how that happened.

dude you just saved my entire playthrough. cyclops was stuck by the ship basically beached on the reef there, and some floaters took care of it right away

Sometimes if I'm standing too close to those lockers in the cyclops, I can't see the contents when I open them. It's as if the door of the locker gets in the way or something.

I had to test this. I turned on Invisible mode and started attaching Floaters to the Sea Dragon in the Inactive Lava Zone. It took 8 floaters before he disappeared into the lava-fog and never came back. I looked around but never saw him again... :-)
