I want to the south side of the Aurora thinking maybe they hid a small island on that side , but don't want to vanture out and run out of battery power in my seamoth..

Currently there is just the two dry land locations - floater island and the gun battery.

I thought I found an atol at one point, but it was just a reefback breeching.

Wish we could build on the huge reef backs.. LOL that would be cool.

Mountain Island, which is definitely an island, more so than floater island, and floater island are the only two land masses above water in the game. There used to be a third, back in the day. The Obelisk, but that's long gone now.

2 islands.
I dont understand, why i dont see them. That really sucks and absurd, like opening window underwater in seamoth.

They don't load in until you are closer. But if you stand on something like the lifepod, you can see two permanent low clouds. One to the north and one to the south. Those are the islads.

They are pretty easy to find. From your lifepod, head straight north to find the mountain island. From your lifepod, go straight south to find the floating island.

As for what's north and south, the Aurora is north-east of your pod, so keep it to your right to go to the mountain... South is the opposite direction.

With the solar module your seamoth won't run out of power as long you get up to recharge.

Fun fact; you can actually "see" the islands even when you're much too far away to actually see the land itself. Pop up above water and you'll be able to see either a large cloudbank (mountain island) or a kind of heat distortion effect (floating island). These are graphical effects layered over the landmass so you don't automatically pick up on the fact that there's an island over there and zip straight towards it.

The effects are fairly subtle though, it helps to know what you're looking for.

There's also a sizable landmass up against the far side of the Aurora, but there's nothing on it, it's just bare sand. Maybe some mineral deposits, but nothing you wouldn't find on the seafloor nearby.

Also a lot of skyrays, and the occasional sandreaper.

At least, that's where my first "encounter" happened.

Can you raise any of the underwater islands with enough floaters?

Nah. They're not physical objects like the floating rocks in Grassy Plateaus, the underwater islands are coded as terrain elements. They're fixed in place.

(Or do you mean in lore terms? In that case, probably.)
