The actual deepest point in Subnautica?
Hii! So I've been watching A LOT of videos about the deepest point in this game, but some of the videos say that the deepest point is in aprox. 3000 meters, while others show that there's an endless canyon that passes the 15 kilometers, so I'm preety confused. I think that, as the map has to finish at some point, the devs just stopped creating terrain so an "endless pit with nothing more than water" was left out.
One day I went behind the Aurora, and there was nothing else but water and if you looked down, it was black because of the depth (it was preety creepy and scary too). But I don't know if that has to be like that or if it's just a bug, etc.
So I think that actually the deepest point is located in the Inactive Lava Zone, but I'm not sure.. could someone help me please? Maybe someone knows what's the ACTUAL deepest point... I'm sorry for my crapy english, I'm still learning

Well first off legit freedom/survival/hardcore/ deepest? or creative/console deepest that what you aw is the void its out of the map but technically the farthest I think legit is with the prawn suit 1200 meter compensator so pretty much 1200 meters considering you will also want to bring your cyclops which i think end game can go down 1000? idk never done it before but it sounds reasonable and it doesnt mean you cant travel by building bases.

What some refer to as "the void" has yet to be filled up. It isn't a legitimate part of the game (yet) but that hasn't stopped anyone from proposing what one might or should find down there. From what I recall, I think the plan right now is to put a bunch of leviathon-class creatures down there to scare players from venturing too far.

That aside, I would think the Inactive Lava Zone may contain the deepest point in Subnautica. It might be that den people are talking about that will house the juvenile Sea Emperors, or it might be a place even deeper than that.

I went down a hole with my maxed out Prawn...and fell..and fell and fell and in the end i got to like 2k'ish down after it blew up, and i ran out of oxygen. God knows if there was something down there or not. Shouldn't have been a bug cause i had a wall on one side all the way down.

thanks sooo much!! Now I know that "the void" isn't actually a part of the game, so there won't be anything down there... I'll go to the Inactive Lava Zone then, thanks :D

that's why... that's the "void" that people are talking about. It's just a huge opening with nothing more than water, and the devs are going to fill that empty hole with new biomes and terrains, probably

they never did

I was in creative mode and I put a paperweight on my keyboard. After about 20-30 minutes of going down in the void, it hit a max depth and my cyclops got teleported into the air near spawn.
