The PRAWN Suit and storage :/
So I wanted to talk abit about the PRAWN suit. I have only come back to the game after about a year. I love the game so much I wanted to wait until there was lots more stuff before giving the game another go. Must say, performance issues aside, I am very, very impressed. However, the PRAWN suit, is very poor as it currenty stands.

First off, for me it handles fine and feels nice. Yet, in terms of functionality, I was thinking this thing would be great for farming, drilling out bigger the nodes and such like and most of all not needing to hope in and put of the vehicle. The problem being, the tiny amount of storage makes it more or less useless. The seamoth can carry so much more (double with only 3 storage modules), even the player can carry so much more. So the only real benefit of usng the PRAWN suit is that one doesn't have to exit from it when picking things up, which is completely overridden, by it pathic storage.

That's it in a nutshell. The PRAWN needs at least double it's curent storage.

I agree, the storage seems to little for game standards

I mean the larger nodes are solely for the use of the PRAWN suit, yet you would only be able to mine two nodes before the suit is full!?

Have you added storage modules to the prawn suit? The seamoth and prawn suit share a lot of the same modules; pressure compensator, storage - look at the vehicle modification unit for it al.

That's a good suggestion, SnowImp, except the Prawn suit can only equip one storage module. That's how you get storage in the first place. But it's a nice thought.

Not actually true. I have a Prawn suit but I don't have a storage module for it and yet I can still access it. The suit actually has storage without the module. I would assume that if the module works for it, it would simply expand the storage further.

The prawn suit is by default 6x2. Add a storage module and it becomes 6x4, I think

Yeah, I got that part wrong. My bad. I remembered incorrectly. But the part about only being able to install one storage module is true.

I'm aware. Just letting the guy know it has storage even without needing a storage module.

Sorry, I should have been clearer.

I am talking about the PRAWN suit with the upgraded gargo module. The cargo module for the PRAWN suit doesn't stack. So even with the cargo module, it still only holds half of a seamoth with 3 cargo modules.

Thing is, this means for farming thing the seamoth is far superior and makes the PRAWN suit redundant at the job is should excel at.

Do not put 2 storage on it. It only goes up by the amount one adds.

It can have 4 storage modules now that its full release. BUMP MY BUMPY BUMPER!
And also has a much larger storage by default (Like, 4x10 tiles or something like that)...Super necro'y necro though.

Adding all 4 storage modules makes PRAWN's storage unit exactly as big as the player's.
And 3 storage modules are still fine, considering if you intend to mine stuff at below 900 (which is PRAWN's default depth capacity).

So honestly i dont see many problems with it. You either use storage modules to carry stuff as it was intented, or you dont use PRAWN for resource collecting.
I mean, Seamoth does not comes with preinstalled storage unit at all so something > nothing.

This entire game annoys me with how little storage it has tbh compared to how much space some items take up (plant samples being the worst offender). I wish there was a way to micromanage what the suit and you as a player are carrying without having to jump in and out as well.
