Found the Mushroom Forest Cuddlefish Egg

Hey guys and gals, i literally just stumbled across this little fellow like two mins ago and i saw on the forum here that some players are having trouble finding this cuddlefish in the mushroom area. If you pull up the co-ordinates system (F1), go to these co-ords = 711.7, -225.3, 530.7. When you head here you will find a big mushroom tree, enter it and go straight down the cavern system, you will enter a big cavern with like a naturally formed stone alter surrounded by that glowing moss like stuff that grows on the trees in a circle, the egg is on the center of the stone alter. hope this helps you guys. I would kindly request that you be mindful of putting spoilers in the message title. People (like me) who like to find stuff on our own intentionally don't read threads that say things like "Location of XX found", but when you ambush us with a giant bold spoiler statement on the forum summary, you really ruin it. We do our best to avoid spoilers while still remaining active in the forums so we can help people who are having difficulties or need advice.

Considering that the egg is not easily found and I seriously doubt you or anyone would have just came across it by searching, since most players don't even go down to the location that much, there's no reason for the OP to put spoiler in the title. Also, it's just an egg, of which there are a bunch scattered throughout the world. What's to spoil in telling where to find it?

Hello Vilkata, I've read your message and I appreciate that yes my main title for this forum topic was a bit vague and for that I apologise for wording it poorly. However I honestly find myself in a bit of confussion to your response here.

First of, like i said while i appreciate that the title is poorly worded and could have contained a spoiler alert or something, i find myself asking why are you looking at forum message about this items location anyways. If like you said your playing this game experience on the basis of finding the stuff yourself then why are you clicking into this topic. I mean the title is vague, diliberately for a reason. Yes i have mentioned the mushroom forest in the title but not which forest it is as there are several of them within the game itself. In order for you to be having a do at me for revealing the co-ordinates that tells me you have chosen to click into the forum and read the full thing which reveals the co-ordinates in a seperate section, not the title. On the basis of how most of the forums topics now adays are typed up in the forums with their titles, it doesn't take much common sense to realise that what your about to click on and view in this topic is a statement of item location reveal (this is sentament is based of experiences of forums topics for several other types of games within the steam community).

Second point, as I pointed in the topic discussion this is aimed at players who are having difficulties in located this particular egg espcially the players of this game who pretty much have completed the game and are just doing the last little bits for the end. I did not perform this action with malicus intention of ruining the experince of gaming for players, but to help those others out who honestly did not want to do what i did which was spend 2 and a half hours looking for the blasted thing. (Yes i really did do this, believe me I nearly went insane doing this). I got wind of it general location upon the official subnautica wiki which says basically the same title i have for this but not which area. so i went searching for it like you, i've heard other players who have actually got vids and co-ordinate locations for this but i decided to do it proper, then having gone through this i thought to myself, "Man, well that was different", then after seeing other players going "where the hell is this damn thing at", i thought to myself i'd put this up to help them out.

Now please don't interprut this message to you as form of "me having a do at you and trying to justify why i'm having a do in the first place" cause believe me that's not the case, i'm trying to help you out with the benefit of the doubt on your side here. All i'm saying is this, if you are playing these steam games like you said "finding the stuff myself with no help", then please be mindful of the fact that quite a lot of popular games like subanutica and such do have forum topics nowadays which are item reveals for helping other players (some of which even included the co-ords in the titles sometimes). All i can say is if you wish to stay true your "finding the stuff myself" approach then either 1) (and i really hate myself for saying this one) stay off the forum channels as 98% of topics when dealing with stuff like new items and such are probably going to end up with spoiler reveals or 2) learn to accept that your going into a free speaking community environment for this game that will mostly ended up creating a situation which in one way or another ended up revealing or spoiling the gaming experience for you if you haven't already found it yourself. Please don't go around having a do at helpful players who want give aid to other players who are genuinally struggling and come to places like this for help by discriminating against game based contextual support.

I hope that message is recieved well and helped you to better understand the unfortunate misunderstanding on both our parts here in this situation, so that we can both walk away from this better and more experienced players of the game. I wish you the best of luck in your experiences within subnautica.

Just randomly found the egg by searching for life pod 13. I came here to see if anyone had ever seen this spot before.

The tree is right next to lifepod 13 if you have trouble finding it.
