Nothing From Data Download in Captain's Quarters

So I went into the Captain's Quarters and found a data download. However, when I picked up the data download, nothing happenned. Is this a bug? What is suppose to happen?

Oh ok thank you. I wanted to make sure. I watch this series called neebs gaming who play it. They said their are some easter eggs in the game that feature them, and I was worried it bugged out.
