To just get back what you lost and then act like it never happned. Nope, never happened. No idea what you're talking about mate....
Nevemind. I can do 'nocost' rebuild everything, then 'nocost' again to turn it off. Thats not too bad.
The reason that second URL link was provided was so that you could look through your lockers and take not of everything you have, then spawn everything back in after you've spawned in a second Cyclops.
Actually, if you were to switch to Creative Mode, you should keep your plot progress and be able to continue it after returning to Survival mode. The only way Creative mode will mess the plot up for you is if you try to continue the plot while in Creative mode.
I tried it it resets the entire game to the start. I do not recommend that since it clears bases as well.
The command doesn't reset your progress, it just reloads the world, bases, vehicles and scenes (the Aurora, the Cyclops are scenes).
Use entreset instead or better, the reload button in the large world debug panel in F1 (other tab).
That will only reload the batches the time you get out of the situation with the Cyclops.
I'm closing this thread if you want to discuss further please make another one.
