How to find the Lava Zone

I'm trying since hours to find the lava zone to progress in the story. Read some guides, maps, tried it at the crash zone at the aurora, but I found nothing but a ghost leviathan who almost killed me. I tried another guide and went to lifepod 2, from there I found a green river (Lost River?). But now I dont know where to go. I navigate my cyclops along this green river, I encountered two ghost leviathans, but I cant find this "pretty tree" I saw in a video guide. The ghost levianthans are annoying....

the easy way in the lost river is in the blood kelp. in this there you find lifepod 2. then you arrive lifepod 2 just turn arround and you should see a giant cave entrance. that's the entrance to the lost river.

then you are in the chamber with the Covetree just drive straight foward and you will find the entrance in the lava zone

Thanks a lot! This game is so difficult sometimes, I love it :)

Just found the lost river on my own by chance, but thought it wasnt anything else to it than nickel ore and some creepy ghosts that freaked me out.

And now there is a hole system of stuff there? Going back..

kyanite is in the inactive lava zone, you'll need to have the prawn and a drill to gather it. it's also a tempermental resource node, you aren't guaranteed to get any when you break a bit off
