You have to be creative and learn to avoid enemies.

Seamoth or prawn with torpedo launcher or torpedo arm. Both vehicle fragments can be found in the Aurora. 1 exploding fish can be used as a weapon with the propulsion cannon.

There really isn't a lot you can do offensively against larger animals and the leviathans. The only decent iteem you can use against them defensively is the stasis rifle which will freeze them in place for a moment allowing you to get away, but that requires getting out of the Seamoth.

In all seriousness, just learn to avoid the areas they spawn in, and if you must go to those areas, just try and keep your distance as beest you can.

Like someone intelligently said before, your not an alpha predator, everything else is.

I find that turning the lights off helps to not be seen
Otherwise: "Run, you sucker!" (From some movie...)

around crabsquids avoid using lights, it tends to cause them to release emp waves. and yes turning off ur running lights helps a lot too.

I find punching everything in the eye works pretty well. Repair your prawn then continue to punch in the eye.

The Repulsion Cannon works really well against a lot of dangerous creatures, especially the notorious Warpers. Vortex torpedoes work well, too. And if you are around a Reape Leviathan the Seamoth Perimeter Defense works well. And some people on here are bound to give you some more lethal ways to deal with these creatures as well, most notably with the Propulsion Cannon and various objects.

A few things to remember:
  • Reapers are attracted to the Seamoth, so unless you are just passing through, you will want to use the Seaglide as much as possible;
  • Crabsquids hate light and will do their EMP attack when they approach yu while you have one on;
  • Stalkers will take scrap metal and Peepers out of your hand and it makes them docile for a little while;
  • Amp Eels do more damage to your submersible than they do to you so leave your submersible a good distance away before approaching;
  • aside from the Repulsion Cannon, potted tiger plants are a good repellant against Warpers so if they get particularly bad in a certain area while you trying to do things, put down some potted tiger plants;
  • never underestimate the value of strafing and dodging with any dangerous creature in this game;
  • finally, listen to the noises the creatures around you make. They make specific noises when they see you and are coming after you, so no matter how you plan to react, pay attention to your surroundings.

go into console, type damage 10000, creative, and boom. Instant genocide.

You can out-swim / out-run most things.

Most med-sized sharks just take one swipe from the dive knife to make them run away. They're not unstoppable robots that will keep attacking you no matter what. You hurt them.. they flee.

When you're in the seamoth you can outrun almost anything.. even larger predators. Just don't look back.

Be aware of your surroundings.

You'll eventually learn wher the "big stuff" shows up at, and you'll give it a wide berth.

If you really want to murder everything, then you get a statis rifle that freezes things and knife them to death. You can clear out whole areas. But, sort of defeats the thrill of you being on the food chain.

Besides running approach, there's still killing approach. With practice, all hostiles are killable, except warpers.

Knife alone, is enough to kill stalkers and sharks, dodge their charge and poke them in the butt. Seaglide will speed up sections, when they try to run away. You might want to carry extra medkits around, before your dodging becomes reliable.

Unupgraded Seamoth can kill anything, but leviathans, by ramming. Things die after 3 collisions average, repairs are easy.

Finally, stasis rifle. Hadn't used it on Ghost leviathan yet, but Reaper and Dragon, both die after 2 minites of chain stasis and kinfe poking. Smaller sharks die to stasis even faster than to Seamoth.

Never seriously practiced Prawn fighting, it feels too bulky.

Never killed ampeel. They don't hurt me, I don't hurt them.

In the past I've had luck with combining the stasis rifle with gas torpedos. Or if you want to go a more tedious route then stasis rifle with a knife does work, although if you do that I'd suggest upgrading your knife so you don't take as much time.

Turn to face the stalker, when he swims towards you swim past him, away from the teeth, turn around repeat. 2-3 times then stalker leaves.
