Cyclops problems
I took my cyclops out with my prawn so I could explore the lost river. I left my cyclops in the blood kelp area and left in my prawn. when I got back my cyclops had no power left even though I turned the engine off. what happened?

You probably left Silent Running on. It drains power even if the engine is off.

Did you activated the rig for silent running (all lights turn red) it drains the energy of the cyclops. It drains 5 energy every 5 seconds.

I though silent running only lasted for a few seconds as a short buff, was it changed?

All lights turned red on board of the cyclops indicating silent running is active and is draining your energy.

The cyclops runs on batteries only. So you have to establish bases all around to recharge the batteries. A long tedious process. And what happened to the high capacity batteries? Can't find them anywhere; were they discontinued?

Powercells and ion powercells are still in the game, last I recall. And there are no cooldowns for the Cyclops anymore. Silent Running, sonar and the shield will drain power a lot faster when left on. Apparenly they are supposed to turn off when you leave the Cyclops but I turn my buffs off myself before I leave, anyway, so I cannot confirm this yet.

A recent update changed the limited use and required cool-down on the 'Silent Running' and 'Defence Shield'. IMHO this is a good change as they never lasted long enough to get me out of danger, but you have to be EXTREEMLY careful to only have them on when you're actively using them.

Also, never go out without at least a couple completely charged power cells. That's a good way to get stuck.

I had this happen the other day in the deep reef area. I was guessing that a crabsquid drained it and then left the area.

There used to be a bug with that. Crabsquids used to be able to drain about 20% of your Cyclops' energy, or something like that, whenever they used their EMP attack on your Cyclops. I am not sure if that has been fixed yet as - again - I've never had that experience myself yet.
