Pretty sure that's not called anteclimax. If i remember my latin correctly, "ante" means before. But thanks for demonstrating that OP isn't the only one who has no idea what he's talking about.

Disabeling the platery defences allows your own spaceship to escape the planet...
The captain room on the Aurora holds the plans for building the first stage of the escape space vehicle. For this to get off-planet, you need to deactivate the planetary defences

The purpose of the planet's defense facility being shut down isn't to have it blow up or to have some fireworks going off, it's to give you the option of escaping.
Were you to get yourself a landing craft and try to take off without turning off the planetary defense system, you'd get blown up just like the aurora, the sunbeam and the degasi.

That's actualy a radio transmission anybody even in the stable build can get. It's pretty much common knowledge by now.
