Fixing Base Lighting
I have a base that flooded once. After repairing the base the lights never went back to normal. The draining systems activated. The water level is normal. But I still have the suns rays coming into enclosed rooms. The whole base is just kind of dim like it is still full of water.

Today I noticed that in one or 2 glass corridors that are in part of the base above the surface I could hear the sound of water rushing in. I couldn't see any damage to repair. I deconstructed the corridors and the lighting in the rest of the base went back to normal. I tried replacing the corridors but the sound came back and the light went dim again like the base was full of water. I really need those corridors to complete the base is there any way to fix this?

There might be some solutions that you can search for in the bugs forum.

I looked at several threads everything about base lighting had to do with getting power to a base. That's not my issue. The fabricator, battery chargers and other powered items work.

Reload, I guess? F8 it for now. So definitely no leak in any other area?

Really, I figured this had to be a known bug by now. I reported the lighting problem as a bug weeks ago. I suppose I could report it again with the added info about removing and replacing components.

I can't see a leak from inside, walking on top, or swimming underneath. I may try sweeping it with a repair tool maybe the damage sprite is just not displaying.

Would flooding the base again and then repairing it help?

There was a bug they fixed in experimental where bad data was causing rooms to be built damaged, maybe what is giving you issues.

If you can't actually fix anything, you may just have to wait and hope for the best when they push the changes live.

I think you may be right. I did a bit more experimenting. It seems like any corridor II put in the same position in relation to the base is built damaged.

I did find a workaround. I was able to take out some components around the offending one and stick a multi-room there. It seemed to accept that as a complete sealed base.

I just had the same problem happen to me. I actually like the dimmer lighting, but I couldn't figure out why it was dim now. I did have a flooding issue, but I can't remember if it started before or after that happened, but it has beenjust in the last day or so.

Try unpowering and breaking your base again, and then fixing.

Mine started working after i re made all my power sources and made sure i repaired evreything, because i forgot about my moonpools.

I had this happen after a flood. It happens when you don't repair a breach to 100% so that the invisible breaches remain.
What I did was go and poke (by holding the repair button) every wall and every room from the outside. Eventually, the marker turned into a circle with 60% or whatever was left of the breach and sealed it. Once all the holes were fixed, the AI said integrity restored and the light came back on.

What I did was go to the above ground part (where the flooding was heard), destroy it, (lights came on) then just rebuild it.

Yes, almost guaranteed you forgot about a lost inaccessible room that's still flooded or not repaired. For me, repairing walls from the outside (1) revealed where the problem was and (2) reminded me of a multipurpose room above what I thought was the top one that DID NOT HAVE A LADDER into it... derp xD
