S.E.Leviathan Enzymes Don't Drop
When you hatch the baby sea emperor leviathans, if you make the critical mistake of leaving the area, being cured becomes a near impossibility. This blocking of end-game content is unncessary.

You can definitely find the juveniles swimming around the world, however, despite the wiki saying so (and who knows if that's true), they DO NOT drop the baby enzyme 42. I followed one around for 30 minutes in real time, and not so much as a single drop. Are we supposed to somehow follow this thing around for longer? An entire mind-numbingly boring hour of staring up the butt of a leviathan hoping that you can simply find the cure?

IF the babies are the only ones that drop the enzyme, they should "leave some behind" in the tank once they vacate it. If the juveniles DO drop it, they should definitely be dropping it more often as finding the juveniles in the first place is not exactly a piece of cake. They travel far beyond their zones. It took me a good 15 mins of swimming around the mountains to find the juvenile there, and another 30 minutes of following it around for what?

So fine.... whatever... I'll just cheat that item in. NOPE! Item has been added to the blacklist of commands and cannot be cheated in by the player. This is on account of an animation that is supposed to occur? Who knows....

Egg drops need a major buff. Majorly disappointing.

Update: Doesn't appear that they drop at all. I spawned in 500 baby leviathans and they do not drop eggs. Spawned in 50 juveniles and they do not drop eggs. Lame. :/

IGP seemed to have found a way. Maybe this video might help:

EDIT: Start at 15:10 - Steam did not allow me to post the video at that time.

But that makes no sense... as when they go through the portal, they IMMEDIATELY go to their appropriate places in the world and become juveniles. He shouldn't be seeing babies "vomiting" the enzymes at all in that area. Spawned in?? Far too many jump cuts to figure out what is legit here, but that certainly isn't.

Actually in my last save with this new update the babies started spitting the cure as soon as they hatched. I was able to cure myself while in the emperors containment area. I followed them through the portal and they do actuall stick around that area for a bit. They do not immediately travel off. Either way they do spit as they go.

I'm not super sure where you got the idea that they IMMEDIATELY move to their respective biomes?

My last play they wouldn't cure me in the containment. I went right up to them and petted them around to no avail. Then andfer few minutes I went though the portal and there they were swimming around so I went up andthe first one I touched ran the cure animation on me.

I "got the idea" that they do that because that's exactly what they did. Went through the portal and they were already in their respective areas as juveniles. There was no in-between and there was no enzyme.

Doesn't "playerinfection 5" work when disabling the gun?

I mean you hatched them and then left so if it's because of a bug you can't accomplish something, then the debug commands are there for it.

And I think that they will implement the ability for the juveniles (the ones found in the biomes) to drop the enzyme in the future.

Yeah, Sea Emperor Juvenilles definitely don't drop the enzyme 42 refined. The Carar, or Kharaa bacterium will continue to ravage the wildlife until Unknown Worlds either takes this off of blacklist or makes all Sea Emperor Leviathans, other than the captive one, be able to produce the refined Enzyme 42.
If you cant gave the enzyme 42 tape in the console: playerinfection 0 and after that you can disable the gun
Have not gave

As OP I can update this and say that it was fixed upon installing Developer build. Never looked back.
