No, there really isn't
Best regards
Easiest way I've found to avoid or reduce damage is to swim directly at them. When you pass each other just keep swimming . Takes a few seconds for the crash to go off and you're almost always either outside or very close to the edge of the blast radius when they finally pop so damage taken is minimal
Load up your inventory with those things and start firing them with your propulsion gun, and suddenly they are weaker than bang snaps.
"Hmm. Firing ****ing exploding fish is in fact, not what u expect. I guess I better punch the shark to death with my Prawn instead. My default nothing is stronger than the investment of a special arm and farm raising killer fish."
What bothers me, though, is that the stasis rifle seems to be nerfed against them now.
I used to be able to stasis them inside their pod, and they wouldn't come out.
I just played Ghost Update, and I stasis'ed a crash pod. But, when I got near it still swam out after me.
Also, they seem faster. I used to be able to out-maneuver them with speed fins + heavy O2 tank. Now I can't.
They're definitely more dangerous now. Just wish stasis rifle wasn't nerfed on them.
its incredably easy to escape them.
