As for the night goggles, sonar modules sort of compensate for that while reminding you that you are in a dark place that doesn't get much or any light of its own. iI find the flashlight and Seaglide still do a decent job here, though, and you can use the Swim Charge fins with the Seaglide now to give you unlimited Seaglide use.
Though I don't really mind going out in the dark all that much. With the current state of the game, you realize pretty quickly that daylight doesn't help you see much of anything you could not have seen at night.
