How to repair leaks?
New player, just built my first base, and of course it's flooded. I was told I needed to fix the breaches with the repair tool, but nothing happens when I try. (The repair tool is fully charged.) Every thread I've found about this is outdated by several months. So how do I fix my base?

Have tool in hand ( of course )
Approach the damage section. A circle should appear showing the damage level. IE 45% etc.
Push and hold right mouse button while repair is made.
Do it from inside base.

Are you repairing the breaches themselves, or are you just aiming a wall? Have you found of the breeches as well? If you've done both of these, then it's probably a glitch that happened to a few people, if it's the glitch all of you can do is deconstruct the part that was damage and build in a new spot till the devs fix it. Worse case, you have to move your entire base.

So I'm in the flooded base, repair tool in hand, in front of the breach, and no circle appears. Right-click does nothing. There's no interaction whatsoever. The damaged part is a multipurpose room. And I can't seem to deconstruct the room either...

Stupid question. Is it a base you built yourself? Or are you talking about the already existing wrecked bases which are just setpieces you can't fix?

That said, I've been getting more common building related bugs myself now that I've switched to experimental. I went to where I usually make my safe shallows tower base and it's doing the whole "Not allowed to stack MP rooms because ???" gig.

I had that once. No matter what I did nothing would fix / or repair. But that was a loooong time ago. Mmmmm.
All I can remember I did was try and verify game. Then I am pretty sure I just deleted that save and started a new one. But its been a while.

I am pretty sure that was just a one off for me.

The leaky glass is not the breach. The breach looks like twisted metal. Try looking for it outside the base as well. Also, you will keep getting leaks until your base health is greater than zero.

Very true! Glad you mentioned that.
And if you exceeded the crush strength with building, it wont ever get better. Because the fixes dont stay fixed. Thats why we have the foundations and the reinforcements

Yes it is.

The breach inside looks like a vertical tear in the walls of the room. Some are blowing... bubbles? Water? Some are not.

It should be, it's reinforced now. But how do I check base health?
BushiNeko Jul 8, 2017 @ 12:19pm
As you build, you will see what each level is. It will pop up with a - / + strength and overall strength. I forget if you can check it without starting a break down and build back. I ve never bothered to look.
So easy for me way, start to take something off.. then put it back. It will tell you the total.

Right, so, base health is fine, and the outside looks undamaged too. Suppose it's a glitch then.

Eh, that's early access for you. It's okay, my save was actually from before the flooding, so I didn't lose much.

Thanks everyone!
