What all do you need to go in the containment facility?

I am scared of the sea. I've been biding away my time in my aquarium looking at beautiful stalkers and smelly gasopods.
But now I wanna see the emperor leviathan. And I don't wanna go through the lava zones again and again because I don't have enough titanium or an artefact.
So, what all do I need?
I have:
1. Buttload of titanium
2. Enough food and water to feed all the kids in Africa (is that racist? or satirical?)
3. Crafting materials
4. Eggs (I need friends!!!)
5. ONE purple artefact

And no cyclops upgrades except the hull modules and power efficiency one. I want the shield, but I'm too wimpy to go near reapers.

Also, I plan on building a base there, will anything attack my base? And can I place the thermal reactor anywhere?
I'll send a pic with the 2 unknown eggs I have when they hatch!

You'll need two Purple Artefacts, and enough Diamonds & Ion Crystals to craft a second Blue Artefact once you get the blueprint for it. Bring lots of First Aid Kids.

Nothing will actually attack your base yet, but this will be added in an update, in which case your base will be destroyed pretty quickly in the ILZ. The Thermal Reactor needs to be placed somewhere with high temperatures, fortunately pretty much the entire ILZ counts for this but you might want to place it near an active flow of lava near the ground where the temperature will be higher.

ur funny if u think you can build a base where the sea dragon leviathan lives. He will use your cyclops as a toothpick when he tears into your flesh and will shoot 150 billion fireballs at ur base. But, if you want to make a base down there.... go ahead

get the blue artifact from the thermal plant (or castle, depending on what you want to call it) and you'll need two of them. you need at least 1 purple artifact (which you have) to access the first blue artifact. when you pick it up, you'll have 1/2 artifacts. you need to craft the second one (2 diamond and 1 ion crystal, same as purple artifact) and then you can truly enter the prison in it's full glory. if you're wondering where the first blue artifact is, it is in a doorway on the top floor of the thermal plant. you'll know the doorway when you see it.

i've actually built a base where the seadragon is. the sea dragon has not bothered to come to me. and yes, i'm outside the prison.

They give much needed company. And plus, when the dragon will attack my base, it'll be good to have some distractions.

Also, which entrance is better? Isn't river or crash zone?

You need two blue artifacts, not purple. One is obtained in the thermal plant within the interior of the black lava castle. The other you'll have to create in the fabricator.

He wants to do the entire ILZ in one go, so he's never been to the Thermal Plant yet, so he'll need the two purple artefacts to unlock everything in the Thermal Plant, and then the two blue artefacts for the Primary Containment Facility.

The thermal plant contains a portal to the QEP. Once you activate the master gate in the plant it's always active, and you can bring vehicles through.

The aquarium contains 5 separate portals to locations elsewhere in the world, like a train hub.

Don't build a base, just use the portals. There's one at the thermal plant and many in the prison. All you need is some extra food, water, the repair tool, and the drill arm. Also make sure you have the reinforced dive suit, makes things all kinds of easier.

You need additional power cells (9 minimun) and the repusulsion cannon. When you are in the inactive lava zone, the lava larva will go to the cyclop and drain its power.

9 MINIMUM???!! I used no power as I had a THERMAL REACTOR.
They pretty easy to make.

Note that you can just stab them off. Three slashes with a thermal blade is enough to fully kill larva, but only one is needed to get them off.

Not all that difficult either, just make sure you're careful about where you park.

You could also just grab the blue tablet form the alien thermal plant. Granite you would have to make it past a sea dragon leviathan. I found it surprisingly easy to avoid getting damaged form them. A trick I used is to use the grapple arm of the Prawn Suit to stay at its side and when I got the chance Dive down and under it into the Lava Castle. Just a less boring way to do it and you get ion batteries and power cells too so that's a plus (to get the ion batteries and power cells you'll need a purple tablet so bring 2 purple tablets to properly explore the Precursor thermal plant)
