Now, all reapers were moved from early story routes, All pods, Aurora and both Islands have reaper free routes directly from safe shallows.
The area behind the ship is still part of the shallows, there are two reapers that patrol there.
Shallows are not inherently reaper free.
I meant starting shallows, specifically. From any possible pod 5 position there's reaper free, straight line to any other signal you get early game. At least, I didn't run in any reapers that way.
There are also Reapers near the front of the Aurora but they hang out faily deep below it so you shouldn't have a problem getting inside the Aurora if you stay really close to the surface (I couldn't even see them when I went inside)
There are no Reapers around the Floating Island.. in fact far from it.. there is one near the mountain island though but to my knowledge he patrols the easternside of it.. and doesn't come near the gun base itself.
The Island which doesn't have any of the Multipurpose room scannable buildings, on the front side of that one has one on the frontside. So be careful adventuring over there. I learned the hard way, Lucky for me I had my Cyclops, which could take a pouding long enough for me to get away and manage to safely repair. Although, It was abit scary due to the fact that I literally couldn't see anything.
