Basic Room Blueprint?

I thought you didn't need a blueprint to make a room for a base, i thought you started out with it. I just made the builder, and when i open the building menu the basic room isn't there. All I see is a hatch and corridoors. Is this a bug? Or is it just an update?

They changed it a while back so the multipurpose room has to be discovered at one of the abandoned bases.

One of the best places to find rooms and building items is the floating island. If you're at your starting life pod with the Aurora in front of you, it's to the right of the Aurora, look at the horizon, you should be able to see what looks like a patch of fog in the distance, it's hiding the island. There are crab things that will atack you on the island so take a knife and the scanner to scan the rooms to get the blueprints

The fact that even new players who aren't used to having it from the start still think it feels like a bug to not have it at the start shows how bad a mistake this is and how badly they need to put it back.

best place i found is the floating island got alot of good stuff for base building

I kind of agree with this. Maybe I'm just playing too much so each new playthrough gets old having to go through the Aurora then go to the island to get even the basic things. Also without being able to build the large aquarium or "alien containment," you can't even reliably harvest fish for food and are pretty much forced to go to the stupid island and get the stupid fruits that make survival way too easy.

very close to the pod there in a deep cave that has a base at the bottom (where the big worms are)many blueprints down there to get
