I'd like to know as well.
BAKED-BATCH-CELLS-14-18-15.BIN
delete only THIS file, none others, just this. and the FPS will improve, ive done it and it works.
To add to this, the files are located in Subnautica(go to properties for the game in steam and click local files)>SNAppData>SaveGames>slot????(whichever save you're trying to fix>Cells Cache
These files contain the data for things you've harvested, but not what you've placed. Try deleting the file he mentioned and if that doesn't fix it, try deleting some others until it works or just delete them all. This will reset all of the collected items in the game but leave pretty much everything else untouched.
Deleting that file and all the large files didn't fix it for me, so I had to just delete them all to get it working again.
Edit for if you delete all the files: Just checked and the precursor locks and keys are reset, but the teleporter is still active. So you can redo that. Or not. Seems optional at this point.
Although I'm abit curious to what these files does exactly? I still have all my harvested materials - so what do you mean when you say its "data for things i've harvested" ? What is deleted from my savegame when moving/deleting these .bin files?
I noticed somewhat of a drawback in that it also deletes your waterproof lockers, but not beacons, mobile vehicle bay or anything from your base.
There's also the CompiledOctreesCache folder which you can delete the files out of, but it's unlikely to cause lag issues and is terrain deformation from the terraforming tool and exploding crash fish and things like that. Devs said that it would only effect anything if they were to get corrupted.
Wa-wa-wa-waaait. Lemme get this fockin straight: so you say that subnautica save system is SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, that one can't actually play if one scavenges half the world? How focked up is thae?! And they are going for v1.0 with that?!
I mean, I love the game, but maaan aint that a sloppy craftsmanship.
Yuppers. Oh, and shhhhhhh.... careful not to say this too loud or you will get 50 lashes because "IT'S EARLY ACCESS SO YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH PAYING A GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T WORK!!!!"
Probably not, they haven't been on a bug-fixing binge at all, the backlog is quite long.
They're still making content, then they'll do optimisation and lastly bug fixes.
Hpoe so. Though I have no idea how are they going to change entire save system
