Can I hide the solar panel power flow?
So the solar panels seem to be transmitting power through a blue beam. The beam is visible for me even if attached directly to the base. I'm not sure if it's supposed to happen or not, but it keeps bothering me. So is there a way to hide that power transfer beam?

That's how you know it's working. The power transmitters work the same way.

I know but I already know it's working now I want to get rid of the ugly beam until I need to check the system again

The beam is pretty ugly, I agree. I wish they'd made it look like cables instead of laser beams.

And why does it have to be visible even when attached directly to the base?

I don't know where I got the idea, but I was under the impression those beam graphics were temporary. That is, not intended to exist in 1.0. More of a debugging thing while power is still not finalized (geez I hope it's not finalized, as sorry of a state as its in right now).
