Using Modification Station
How do I use the Modification Station in my Moon Pool? I have my Seamoth parked in there. Walk up to the Modification Station and it says left click. I left click and nothing happens.

The station has 450/450 power.

I want to upgrade my Pressue Compensator to a Mk2 but don't know what I'm doing apparently.

Dumb question. Are you using the big obvious control panel that has you facing the Seamoth. Or are you turning around, looking at the wall, and using what looks like a fabricator instead?

The big obvious control panel is... just there to edit the colors and name label of your Seamoth/Cyclops. You create the actual modifications with the fabricator looking deal on the wall.

There is a "Hope you already noticed it was there" side panel on the Sea moth. Interacting with it will bring up a paper doll like your scuba suit, but for the seamoths 4 modification slots.

As for upgrading the pressure comp to MK 2... Well, SURPRISE. You use the NORMAL modification station. The vehichle modification station is only for creating, not modifying, the MK 1 verion of the Seamoth/Prawn suit pressure compensator. (Which makes perfect sense because... uh.... We'll get back to you)

Bonus round: For Cyclops depth upgrades, you use a fabricator build it (Did they ever make it so base ones worked, instead of just inside the cyclops?). Then use a normal modification station to upgrade.

You never use the vehichle modification station to do anything related to the cyclop's vehichle modifications.

In short. You are not the first, and will not be the last, to be scratching your head with this question as things currently stand.

I was talking about the big obvious control panel... I thought you had to use it modify the parts. The fabricator doesn't have anything but a pressure compensator mk 1 in it, so I thought maybe you used the big control panel to modify that part once it was made.

Do I have to find blueprints for the mk2 and mk 3 Pressure Compensators also?

edit:

What is this "normal" Modifications station you speak of? I only have a vehicle modification station. I'm confused. Sorry.

It's perfectly undestandable for how cartoonish the explenation sounds when you take a step back, and realize you are saying things like "You don't used the vehichle modification station to modify vehichle parts".

The "Normal" modification station, is the sorta box looking deal you place on the floor of any room in the base. You also use this to do things like make high capacity air tanks, charge fins, etc. Though it is it's own seperate unlock compared to the vehichle modification station.

The odd process of depth upgrades.

MK 1 Seamoth/Exosuit pressure compensator: Created in the first place with the Vehicle modification station only allowed to be in the moonpool (Same with many parts). By using what looks like a built in fabricator on the wall of the vehichle modification setup, instead of the big glowing obvious control panel that has you facing your vehichle.

MK 2 and MK 3 pressure, for Seamoth and Exo suit: You use the MK 1 as an ingredient, in the normal modification station.

Cyclops pressure: You don't use the vehichle modification station ever. You make the first one in a fabricator (Only one built inside the cyclops works, unless they fixed that). Then use a normal modification station to upgrade it.

This has been a longstanding UI/Crafting logic cluster **** that catches many new players who are just trying to play the game naturally off guard.

Sorry, it may have been perfectly understandable to you. But I do not have any such thing thing as a modification station. I suppose it's something that I have to find the parts for and scan to learn how to make it.

Thanks for your help clearing this up. Guess I have to try to find some more wrecks to see if I can find this "normal" modification station.
