Omg Abzu !
Its not really like Subnautica, but in some ways, it is because it takes place underwater..

It's basicly a really cool game about a water planet. Has anyone played it?
Any feedback? Thanks

Typical Steam experience.

I saw your thread.

Then I was looking at humble bundle store and saw Abzu.

It looks great - and on sale for $10, $9 for monthly customers.

So I looked on Steam. First saw it's on sale for only $6. Hm might have to get that.

Then I saw, it's already in my library.

I bought it in the end of the year sale. I don't know that I would really call it a game at all. It's more interactive pop art. Graphically, it is interesting. Unfortunately that only held my attention for a few minutes. There didn't seem to be any real thought involved. In the first biosphere you just poke at things until you learn where the exit is. It was getting pretty boring until I found the little guide thing that actually leads you to where you need to go next. Each new biosphere requires you to do a very simple task to move on. I got the impression I was suposed to be restoring degraded biospheres. The game didn't explain much so I'm just guessing. I doubt I played more than an hour before getting tired of it. I haven't gone back.

Maybe there is more to it later, or you may just want to swim around and admire the bright colors. For me it wasn't worth it.

Looks like subnautica meets Tomb Raider graphics (1996)

It's more of a visual art medium than a true game.

Abzu tells a great story if you are willing to stick with it. Everything you do in that game has a purpose.
