no power?
I have a tiny little base, and have 2 biogens stacked on top of one another. they both have items in them like some creatures i hatched but it still says no power? i put some shrooms in and it says power restorted...1 second later. power fails. whats the best to put in there? and why did this happen? i dont have any breaches or anything. (seconds before i noticed i ran my seamoth into the pillars connecting the base to the ground - oops) but no breaches?

The things you have put in there only generate between 5 and 10 power, you have to insert something that lasts longer, fruit for example.

Do you have anything withdrawing power? Like battery chargers or a water filtration system? If so those will suck up energy faster than your reactors can handle it. I use to put reginalds in mine and they would last a long time, but if your power is being drained faster than it can product that's going to be a problem. Maybe you can suppliment with solar panels or another reactor, or disable the items drawing power until you have full power then slowly add them and see if you can handle the load. You might need more if that's the only reactor you can use currently.

I tried nucleer reactor, the items lasted shorter times than the bioreactor. so i switched to 2 bioreactors. and i have a bioreactor in another building with two water filter systems, cause they did drain the reactors waaaay too much. im still trying to figure out how to get sollar pannals up. dont know how to do that yet. Thinking of going into building mode and playing with it.

Are you in creative mode? They don't work there.

To use solar panels you only need to build them on the top of your base or the foundation if you're close to the surface. If you're really deep then they won't work unless you string power transmitters. For my beginning base I just put up some vertical pieces attached to my base and then a cross piece close to the water surface on those vertical pieces. I put the solar panels on top of that cross pieces and they power up the base.

Edit: Also, whatever power source you construct first will be the primary. That means power from that device will be used before moving on to another. So if you build a bioreactor first then it will have its power drained before moving on to your secondary which might be solar or thermal. You want to build them knowing which you want to access first and doing it in the right order.

Also, water filtration units suck up more power than anything. You only need one and if you leave the salt in it and the water until you want to drink it then you'll save power.

I have a whole base dedicated entirely to water filtration. It's thermally powered and is nothing but a multipurpose room with water filtration units on every wall, except for the one that has the hatch. I just stop in and pick up the products whenever I'm in the area, that way I keep a decent stock of water in my Cyclops for long journeys.

I'm having the same issue only with a nuclear reactor got to be a bug
