Can't Find Sandstone Outcroppings/Silver Ore
I can't seem to find sandstone in the Kelp Forest and Grassy Plateu. Where did it all go?

Go in the caves on the walls.

I cleaned out the cave I found already.

The best place to look for sandsone are kelp forests. Especially big and deep ones. Watch out for cave systems, most sandstone is there.
Also: build the scanner room if you can. The thing got buffed freatly and is AWESOME for finding resource you need as long as they are in about 300-400m range from the scanner.
Just give it like 10 minutes to scan, put scanner HUD chip into your suit and now you can go and collect all those resources.

There's a thermal vent not far from pod 3 that has a good tunnel system and plenty of silver.

Try to make a Prawn suid with a driller arm. There are Silver Nodes everywhere. Youll end up with Lockers full.

You misspelled Copper.

One trip in the cyclops with a prawn suit and drill arm and after 3 lockers full I was avoiding silver in favor of quartz. It took about an hour. Large resource deposits of silver were literally that common.

Yeah, once you get the prawn & drill silver is easy, of course by then you've built 90% of what you need anyway.
It's the early game that it can be a real struggle, gold is far more common early game.

OP is looking for sandstone, not silver nodes.

Yes, as I don't have the PRAWN suit yet.

Look along the cliff walls and plateau sides for sandstone. Most of the nodes in the grass itself are limestone. Deeper Kelp Forest is good too, but remember to have a lot of Peepers and one in your hand to bribe stalkers.

I always avoid scanning sandstone outcrops, so I can tell more quickly if an outcrop is sandstone instead of limestone and worth breaking.

If you're still looking for sandstone, there's a place I always go to. Head to lifepod 6. It is at the edge of safe shallows and kelp. I never have a tremendous amount of luck in that kelp, but if you turn away from the aurora and follow the edge of the safe shallows west you'll come to an intersection of another kelp forest end, grassy plateau, and the safe shallows. Move to that end of the kelp cliff. Now you want to keep going west but hug the edge of the kelp forest. You should find some around there, but as you turn north and keep moving up along the kelp forest you'll find a brain coral with a few cave entrances around. I love that area. Move around in all of those caves and that area and you should find a good amount of silver. There will be some dangling stingers and maybe a mesmer so keep an eye out. But there are lots of entrances around there and a nice little network that will get you a good supply of silver.

Honestly its everywhere, i got so much gold and silver and diamonds i don't know what to do with it all. Search caves and cliff walls, any area with kelp usually has alot.

I need quarts more then silver or gold and i'd be happy to swap a ton if this was multiplayer.

Any thermal vent. I use the vent nearer to the rear of the aurora just near the grassy plateaus and safe shallows as well as kelp Forest. Use a seaglide and check the crevices in thermal vents
