Is there something I missed at the rendezvous point?

So I got the rendezvous point on the floating island and got all the logs from the degasi survivors but that beacon is still there. Did I miss something important?

I am actually not sure, if you even get a new beacon at that point, just the hint in the degassi PDAs that they went deeper and into some caves and a direction. So go and search for the base. Next base is in the jelly shroom caves, several entrances to the caves can be found between the save shallows and the grassy plateaus. purple/pink glowing plants are a good indicator for entrances. a MK1 depth module would be helpfull for your seamoth, but you can manage it without it.

Thanks for that. I did indeed explore there already too and found the pda's, though will go back through to ensure I got all of them. To confirm, the jelly shroom caves are located about 200 meters from the survival pod? It's frustrating, because I am on day108 and no missions.

Ah okay, you've already been there. That means you are now in a more open part of the game. You can search for the third base of the degasi. from the floating island straight down 500m you will find a new cave system.
You already know that leaving the planet is somewhat problematic with that giant gun, so find a way to disable it. I mean, you have been inside the gun, right? use the purple tablet to get inside the gun. explore the whole building, scan everything that is scanable, hit the big button.
find out you are sick and can't turn off the gun that garanties the planets quarantine. ergo,
find a way to get healed. how you do that? hmm didn't some of the degasi PDAs say something about the disease? and didn't they see some mysterious glowing in the depths? so basically,
keep building vessels and upgrades that get you deeper and deeper and explore the caves.
You should have gotten a radio message from alterra headquarters, in which they announced to send you blueprints for a rocket onto the captains computer on board the aurora. so if you don't have them yet, maybe time to explore the wreck of the aurora. If you didn't get the message yet, maybe check if you followed all the calls to the sunken lifepods already. I really don't remember when this message gets triggered. bring a repair tool, a knife, a laser cutter, fire extinguisher and medkits when exploring the aurora. the propulsion cannon would be helpful as well.

I missed a PDA in the jellyshroom base first time (in a locker). You need to find all 6 of them to get the third Degasi base beacon.

There isn't a PDA to be seen near the rendezvous beacon for me
