Creating Nutrient bars
I think this may be an interesting option for food because it bugs me how you can find them in the wrecks but you never find out how the Auroa makes them (do they produce them? Or do they pack millions before the journey?). If you will be able to make them I would like to produce them in some sort of machine which you can shove cooked fish, vegetables, and fruit into the machine to create nutrient bars. I just want to know how you all think of this because it will probably be overpowered. But I just want them to add something saying where these bars come from because it bothers me so much.

I almost made this post the other day myself!!

Maybe the recipe could include several salted fish that are ground up and dried/dehydrated vegetables/fruit, all crushed into a paste and baked into a bar!! BAM!! Nutrient Block!!

This sounds good but maybe to make it less Op it could drain around 20 water or so to balance out the non spoiling 70 or so food.

That seems fair. I mean using the salted fish would do that as well so yeah that makes perfect sense. But I think 15 would be a bit better AFTER you ate a second one!! SImilar to how other food cant be eaten so much cause you eventually get blood loss.

I think there should be different parts of the recipes with optional ingredients!!!

You would need dried/dehydrated versions of a protein, a vegetable and a fruit for a balanced and concentrated nutrient source!!

So any 2 random salted fish, any 2 vegetables to make dried vegetable concentrate, and any 2 fruit for the dried/dehydrated fruit!! You have to dehydrate and preserve the food first then use them for the recipe to make the bar!!

Yes it does hurt you when you eat too much!! You cant just spam the food and top off! You have to wait a few minutes between snacks!!

Subnautica should have a cooking show or cookbook

Maybe. Probably constipation too from all the dry food.

I think having more recipes would be nice. At least basic stuff like fruit or vegetable pastes that last longer in your inventory because they are more preserved, or even dried meat? Like jerky??? Some sea animals have similar flesh to beef or pork rather than flakey fish meat so that would definitely be a possibility!!! Gasopod Jerky!! OMG That needs to happen!!!

Maybe different recipes may give you statt boosts like faster swimming speed, better vision, heat resistance, and stuff like that.
McDonald's Mar 10, 2017 @ 7:28am
Gasopod jerky would probably force you to invent a toilet.

maybe use something from alien containment that you can only get from it, or other advance tech.

Maybe we could put a vacuum on a blender and put it in the alien containment and then turn it in on for mystery meat
