Is there any point in sleeping?
Other than passing some time, is there any point in sleeping? I thought I'd heal a bit since I don't have a first aid replicator in my base at the floating island yet. But nope. Just some time passes and you get up, same health and foodwater as before.

it is so people who don't want to go out at night can "sleep" through it

The purpose is exactly that - passing the night quickly with no food/water penalty.

Also, you can skip the wait for growing plants.

Sleeping should mean way more, you need to eat and drink but not sleep? Mkay...

It doesn't affect the Sunbeam arrival timer, somehow

also if ur battery is low u just put it and go to sleep
then in seconds its 100% ez

It just did for me, jumped from 38 to 30 minutes.
