The great thing about it is that it makes it EXTREMELY CLEAR EXACTLY WHERE THE FLOATING ISLAND IS. I mean, they may as well have put a big orange arrow that points down at it. So now it's obvious through game play exactly where both land masses are, which I think is a good thing for new players.

Subnautica is a great blend of survival and story. It is truely amazing, and there are so many playstyles you can do. You can be a nomadic person, living in your Cyclops, you can build a giant seabase, you can explore all the Precursor ruins, (The aliens who use to live on this planet), it's just a really good game. It also has its scary moments, like your first encounter with a Reaper Leviathan, (You know those distant tribes, and their initiation rites are you putting your hand in a glove of bullet ants? Subnautica's initiation rite is being eaten by a Reaper and not screaming.) You should give it a try.
