Where to find Gold?

I am starting a game on survival. but I cant find any gold, to build a habitat builder. (need a computer chip) where to find it?

Sandstone and Basalt chunks.

seatreaders path they dig p basalt chunks as they walk. u will get way more copper than gold. but in the immediate part look around in the kelp forest in the outcrops basalt will mainly have it and copper

At the start, the kelp forests have caves, in those caves you will find your first sandstone rocks to break open. Otherwise, once you start travelling further from base, and deeper, you will find lots of sandstone and you will have lockers upon lockers of gold before you know it.

To the east and I think slightly north is a kelp forest (between you and the Aurora basically, aiming a bit left) and there is a heat vent. Go down there and you will see some caves branching off from the shaft. If you can't find it anywhere else, check here and you should find a bunch (along with silver, which in my experience is actually rarer than gold).

If you just go around breaking every basalt chunk you can find, especially in caves, you'll have more gold than you know what to do with.

I had to chuckle a little bit at this thread (no offense to the OP - it is a good thread). It doesn't seem so long ago when people were asking where all of the silver was.

Go to the Kelp Forest and break Sandstone Chunks. You'll find Silver and Gold there but Gold is way more common in the chunks
