Need help finding the entrance of the Disease Research Facility (entrance of the cave?)

Hey guys, I am now searching for 5 hours for this entrance, I drove 1 km southwest from the "Energy Source", and about 4-500 Meters deep. But there are just a few vulcanos, non of them is an entrance...

Can someone plesase help me?

Near that sea dragon skeleton, inside a canyon. If you see a tree and a bunch of waterfalls, there is only one opening left to find. To find the lost river check the 3 entrances in, the deep grand reef and the 2 blood kelp zones.

You sound like you are near the volcanic smokers in the deep grand reef cave system. Probably with the emp octopus things and the warpers nearby. From the west most of the four smokers down there, go straight north and you should see a cavern sloping down. That takes you to the lost river which is the biome the facility is hidden inside. You will know you are in the biome when you see the glowing green brine river. (By the way, don't swim in it, you'll take damage, although vehicles aren't affected.)

I know, where the Aurora is, I know where the Sunbeam should land. I know where livepod nr. 9, 3, 13 are. And some more, of which I forgot the numer (but I have their signals).

The coordinates for the facility won't help you much if you aren't in the lost river as that's a subterranean biome. Similarly, the coordinates for the deep grand reef entrance to the lost river won't help either as it's in the deep grand reef caves.

If you are looking for that biome, the way I normally enter it is from the deep grand reef, which is the biome below the floating island west of the aurora. If you explore that biome enough, you should be able to find a way to the cave area of the deep grand reef. On the northern portion of those caves is an entrance to the lost river.

Edit: I am now in between mushroom Biome and Koosh biome. Am I heading the right directoin?

Ok, to correct the first post: The location I found was at the depth of 500 Meters, in the Underwaterlands Biome. This is wrong isnt it?

You could try going to the blood kelp zone lost river entrance through a large cave deeper than 500m near the underwater island biome.

Do you mean the underwater islands biome? If so, while the thing may be directly underneath there, you can't access it from anywhere near there. The facility is underground and below the seafloor where the directions take you. This should be an indicator that you need to start exploring the map to find caves to take you even deeper. If you are in the underwater islands biome, go west to the place with the glowing red and white blood kelp. There is a cave entrance somewhere in that zone.

Ok, I simply can't find it. Either, I end up being in the "void", or I end up at the kooshZone, followed by the Mountains.

That's not what you're looking for.

Find the Deep Grand Reef or the Blood Kelp areas and make your way into much deeper depth, you will eventually come across the Lost River, which is between ~700 and 1000 m deep. From there on it's hard to get lost as this area navigates more like a series of tunnels with more or less memorable spots to orient yourself.

It would be a good idea to carry several beacons with you and whenever you find an area of interest (like new biomes) you can just drop one, name it (or not) and then find your way back really easily.

Whenever it happens you don't need them anymore or if you found a better/more important spot you can still pick them up and place them somewhere else. Or you just deactivate them in your PDA's ping-manager.

Trust me, it makes navigating easier. Placing them cleverly makes getting lost impossible, too.

If you can't find them anymore in general you are perhaps just not deep enough?

The Grand Reef and Deep Grand Reef are definately south of lifepod 5, next to the grassy plateaus and kelp forest that are there too.

If you keep goind through the kelp forest in that area and when it goes deeper than 100 m you have a good chance to spot the Grand Reef entrance. From there you have to go deeper and deeper and deeper and you will eventually find what you look for.

Just remember taking beacons with you.

You are not completely wrong. The Void is just on the wrong side of where you should be :D
