Report a translation problem
I'm not even sure why it's just a sudden drop, they should really smooth out the edges into a gradual slope that decends to 10k metres. Add something like a "stress warning" when going lower than 5k which will insta crush anything. That will make sure no one "falls off the edge"
You can go on for a very long time. It use to crash the game if you ended going too far.
Back a while ago I decided to explore the reaches, and decided on stopping where the edge of the landscape ended, and build my base on the underside of the world.

For fun, i once built a base at the bottom of the world. Could only get there by suiciding the prawn to ge down there....then using the oxygen cheat and the bladder to get back to surface. Not practical, but was neat.
