What is a good place for a Thermal Plant?
I just recently returned and ive no Idea about all the new Stuff. I guess that the Thermal Plant is a really good way to Produce Power but what is a good Place for a Thermal Plant and how exactly do they work?

Place it somewhere hot. The hotter the better.

Place it around thermal vents. If the vent is too far from your base, use power transmitters to route the power back to your base.

Thermal generators are probably the best power generators in the game right now.

Thanks Guys already figured it out

Although... don't put the transmitters in the blast area.
They are NOT heat resistant.
I found this out the hard way.

Welp I had mine there for about 20 real time hours and then all of a sudden it just smashed and my water machines ran my base out of power - it was night time.

The best temperatures I've found for the thermal plant are in the Jellyshroom Cave, near the lava geysers. It is a bit tricky to place a thermal plant near them though, but you will get temperatures ranging from 90 ºC to 105 ºC. I don't get the point of the thermal plant having the capacity to display such temperatures, but only these lave geysers being able to give those values. Even in the lava zone you won't get temperatures above 70ºC, but you can place a lot of thermal plants so you can practically have infinite energy.

Stick it in a well fortified place and use it to power everything. It directly converts local thermal energy into electric current.
