Help with using the Habitat builder

I am trying to lay down a base, but the starter platform (the foundation I think) is so huge in my field,. Is there a way I can zoom out a bit so i can see the area i am trying to lay this thing down? Its very frustrating and annoying trying to find the right place to lay it down when i cant see much around me other than the huge green platform...

Just need to swim back a little so you get an overview. It's a bit tricky in some moments so perhaps looking for a different place wouldn't be a bad idea.

Have you tried swimming away a bit? There is no "zoom ability" btw, this is first person only. Can you post a screenshot to illustrate what the problem is exactely? I never had an issue laying down a foundation.

Thenks for the responses. It took a little trial and error, but I figured out how to get some distance. A little zoom out whould have been nice, but I built a nice sized base once I got it!! Thanks!
