keyboard layout cannot be changed

Dear developers,

Unfortunately, the game is unplayable for me because the key assignments, such as the "K" key, which are firmly anchored in the code, cannot be adjusted. Not everyone prefers the standard WASD key binding. As a severely disabled left-hander, I use the keyboard mirrored, i.e. with PLÖÄ, which is not taken into account in the current configuration.

You would be doing a great service to all disabled left-handed people by developing games to reduce their daily challenges and improve their quality of life. Amen

Yeah the keyboard configuration was really in MVP mode during the playtest demo.
I'm pretty sure they will improve upon it during alpha and early access phases.

Same here I use arrow keys to move not awsd and I could not rebind dash. This made me quit the demo after a few hours. This needs to be addressed if they want players that don't use awsd as their movement keys.

That won't be a problem, when Soulmask goes into EA phase, you can change your keyboard layout.

i am left-handed and often have the problem of not being able to move the keys. The Power Toys program from Microsoft itself has helped me. It allows you to freely reassign all keys and save it so that you can switch it to normal and customized with just one key. And the best thing is that you can download it for free from microsoft.
If you can't find it, it's hidden under keyboard manager .

I have been able to change all keys except for global chat. Global chat is not an option in settings to rebind. Its bound to the enter key. I would love to change it though.

Thanks for the reply this was one of the first things I was wondering when I saw the game, I play right side of keyboard arrow keys and numpad

Can't rebind the button to change the blueprint shape when building something.
For my keyboard layout, the Z is 'forward'.
somwhat annoying since I can only strafe while building.

Oddly enough I had success changing my key bindings, extra mouse button binding & scroll wheel click with Windows 10, using Razer Naga programmable mouse. I updated to Win 11, and now changing keys or binding my mouse is 100% non-functional.
