Solo ?
Is solo play viable / fun ?
I saw a video saying you "need" friends to play this game.
Unfortunately i don't have any friend that plays video games like me.

Completely doable alone. You can have a bot companion if you want to carry more or fight better. Companion is one of your tribe members you recruit from native camps.

It is a different game solo, but still fun I think. I will be watching this game as they finish it.

well sort off. i play solo aswell. and i am all the way you can go in demo. cant go longer in land . or kill anything els.. the elite animals yes is hard to kill.. all the bosses in the barbarian trial i did fight solo. its just a kind of killing what you can b4 fighting the main boss. and they drop a item you need. to open and kill the first boss at the pyramide. its hard but you can kite him and shoot arrows and kill it solo. everything is possible in solo. ingame you get npc´s that you can take to you tribe and start make it bigger. they will work for you while you outside hunting or farming or exploring , when you get home they dod what you put them to do.. like 1 melt tin 1 melt copper . 1 melt bronce 1 chop plank 1 farm 1 take care of you animals.. and so on.. what ever you want them to do sort of. as long the mat they need is in a chest they can open as you can also set . nps dont take or put item in chests . so item you want to store you self in case of somthing they cant take.. but solo yes. they still need a few things as solo player but you can do everything grupes can do..

The only problem I can see with it (and hasn't become one for me - yet, as I just started playing yesterday)... Is you cannot unlock Control (to be able to play the NPC character with your mask) until you've first beaten the saber-tooth boss.

I'm guessing you will have to tame quite a few helpers... and take that boss on with your companions. And, leveling up the companions a bit before hand, which will be a bit of a pain because you'll have to drag them around with you.

I've barely dipped into the game (as I stated, just started yesterday), but am getting the vibs that doing it solo is going to be totally doable.

Singleplay is harder. You have to do a lot more effort to get a decent base and upgrades AND killing bosses but for me that just make the game more fun and interesting.I miss 1.person option though..

I’ve been playing single player for the same reason as you do. It is doable just slower. Like others have pointed out, you can capture other tribesmen and have them do stuff for you at your base. The problem I have found is the map is fairly large, you will want to establish a base somewhere central or start off with a small base somewhere and then move stuff to a larger one down the line. The tutorials are lacking but this is only a demo so hope they fix that. Somethings are not all that intuitive but I have been reading the discussions here and watching people play on YouTube. Again, it’s doable but slow. In the time left of the demo, you won’t be able to complete anything large.

Actually who saying this is slow gameplay, prolly never played Life is Feudal. Where you should learn all skills by yourself if you wanted to be able craft particular objects. And skill rise was by using it mainly. 100 hours in game meant almost nothing.
