There's no such animal as a stand alone panther.

Uhhhh.... you do know that a Black Panther is factually a Jaguar or Leopard. Black Panthers are not their species but rather a subset with a agouti gene, who frequently do have very, very hard to see spots. In several cases, nearly impossible to see but they are there.

So. Yes. Jaguar, Panther, same-same.

Now, they real laziness is... even if you never learned that in school, picked up a book, or read the little sign at a zoo. You have the internet and could have looked it up. It actually shows the Devs did their homework.

And black cats were a genetic rarity, which arose in Italy. Panthers are not a specimen, they are a genus within the Felidae family. In reality the lion, the jaguar, the leopard, and the tiger are panthers. And when their hair comes out dark, they are black panthers.
